Statement

Andrea Heron was born in America and travelled extensively until settling in Ireland in 1981. Having studied art and graphic design at college, she continued a career as a graphic designer until 2005. Since then she has dedicated her time to painting. Working in watercolours, a large number of her paintings are private commissions of horses and animals. Each painting is a reflection of the true nature and personality of the individual animal. A life-long love of animals, wild-life and nature in general, is what gives her the inspiration for her work.
