Deirdre Shanley

Statement

Deirdre Shanley is a printmaker working mainly in carborundum, which she favours for the richness of colour obtained from the process and for its closeness to painting. Her inspiration is the landscape, an element of which is almost always present in her prints, which are partly representational , partly abstract.
